About Ray

Ray Long is the associate director of the Association for the Study of Peak Oil & Gas USA (ASPO-USA), a non-profit non-partisan organization dedicated to helping America understand and adapt to a new energy reality, where oil and gas are becoming more costly and difficult to extract from the Earth, and their rate of supply may peak and decline.

Prior to joining ASPO-USA, Ray worked with D&R International, an energy consulting firm where he led projects to increase the energy efficiency of residential water heaters for the U.S. Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR program.

Ray earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and a Masters in Engineering from Wayne State University where his studies focused on alternative energy technologies.
